Scottish Government's Redress Scotland programme - In January 2022, the In Care Survivors Alliance accepted oversight of the Redress Support Service. This service was set up to support people applying to Scotland’s Redress Scheme, set up by the Scottish Government to recognise and acknowledge the harm caused to people who have experienced in care abuse and neglect. Redress Scotland's "values are dignity, respect, and compassion." Redress Scotland makes decisions about applications to Scotland's Redress Scheme. For this redress scheme, the abuse must have occurred before 1st December 2004, and when the survivor was below the age of 18. Note that the Redress Scheme excludes boarding school survivors. www.redress.scot
